Resources and Support.
We are proud to announce the creation of
"New Jersey Early Intervention Families"

This web-based list-serv group is for families of
children who are enrolled in early intervention
services in New Jersey. The purpose of the group
is to provide an opportunity to meet other families,
share ideas, give and receive support and learn new
information. Parenting a young child with special
needs is a joyful and challenging task that can be
enhanced by the friendship and support of others.
Join us to share your child's accomplishments,
receive support for your challenges, swap solutions
to problems and make new friends.

A couple of cautions: please refrain from using the group to complain about specific agencies, doctors or providers. Information presented on the list is not intended to be medical or therapeutic advice. All questions regarding appropriate health care and intervention strategies for your child should be discussed with your physician or early intervention provider.

To participate in the internet-based support group "New'
Jersey Early Intervention Families" you must use a computer
that has internet access and an e-mail address. An internet
list-serv is a group of people who share a common interest. To join the group you must "subscribe" to the list. When you have subscribed you will receive all the e-mail messages that are sent to the list. You can send messages to the entire group or reply only to another member of the group.

To join the group go to the web site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NJEIFamilies
If you choose to join click on "join this group'. If you are
not a member of Yahoo Groups you will have to go through
the somewhat cumbersome process of joining Yahoo Groups.

If you need assistance with any of the above please contact a Family Support Coordinator at your Regional Early Intervention Collaborative at the following phone numbers:
